Founded in place of the old French Mining Company of Lavrion (Compagnie Francaise des Mines du Laurium) in 1992, as a result of the initiative undertaken from the National Technical University of Athens.
The Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C) was created in 1993 as an initiative of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), one of the largest Research Organizations in the country with the financial support of the EU, the National Government and the Region of Crete. Ιn short 4HourVentures is a hackathon/workshop where techies, designers and business people can meet and build ideas from zero to prototype in 4 hours. The participants pitch their own ideas and form teams around them.
The National Documentation Centre (EKT) is the national infrastructure for scientific documentation, online information and support services on research, science and technology. Its vision is to make scientific knowledge accessible to everyone.
