The CBM is mainly used to simulate the effects of activities in areas where crowds of people are gathered, serving as a generic contingency scenarios planner, test bed and benchmarking tool as well as personnel trainer allowing trainees to visualize the results of their actions. Furthermore, the CBM is used as a foundation for games where a large number of autonomous and independent NPCs is needed.
